Ayer se realizaron los Premios Emmys, una edición con sorpresas, pero sobre todo, con un formato digital a causa de la pandemia.
La gran ganadora de la noche fue Succession, al dominar en la categoría de drama, fue la serie de HBO, la cual cuenta con dos temporadas.
Sin duda, la gran sorpresa de la noche fue la serie canadiense Schitt’s Creek, que arrasó en la categoría de comedia.
Ganó todas sus nominaciones, las cuales fueron siete; y eso le dio un lugar en la historia de los Emmys, ya que ninguna otra serie ha conseguido tal hazaña.
Es un título que no cuenta con mucha fama en nuestro país, pero que seguramente ahora todos correremos a buscarla.
Inició en el 2015 y este año fue su última temporada. La idea original es Dan Leavy, quien junto con su padre, Eugene Levy (American Pie), se encargaron de desarrollarla y llevarla a la pantalla chica.
Cuenta la historia de una familia rica que, de la noche a la mañana, se queda sin nada por una estafa. Su única salida, es recurrir al único recurso material que les queda: el pueblo Schitt’s Creek, que lo compraron de broma años atrás y ahora deben vivir ahí en un motel.
