Following the launch of the Mexican Caribbean: The Best of Two Worlds campaign, which seeks to reactivate the tourist destinations of Quintana Roo and thanks to the Certification in Protection and Sanitary Prevention in Tourist Facilities (CPPSIT) developed by the Ministry of Tourism of Quintana Roo SEDETUR, as well as the Safe Travels seal awarded by the WTTC, the Mexican Caribbean is considered an example for other destinations seeking to reopen to tourism.
The digital campaign Mexican Caribbean: The Best of Two Worlds, launched on May 28th, has obtained a total of 438,974 views of the videos posted on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, with more than 35,000 interactions and more than three million people reached in the first two weeks.
Recently, the digital campaign for the golf segment was activated through a video that shows diverse and majestic scenarios for the practice of this sport that attracts thousands of visitors every year. Of 15 golf courses in the Mexican Caribbean, 13 are already open in Cancun, Riviera Maya and Cozumel.
A digital campaign has also been launched for the Vacation Club segment, with the intention of detonating one of the segments that react quickly after a contingency, with the message: "Mexican Caribbean: My second home", which shows the attractions of the destination and images of the hotel infrastructure.
Among the airlines that will restart flights to the Caribbean are Panama's Copa Airlines, American Airlines and Evelop, which flies from Madrid to Cancun, who are interested not only in returning in early July, but also in increasing frequencies once they return to Cancun.
Interjet, meanwhile, began flights to Cozumel from CDMX last Sunday, while in Chetumal, VOLARIS operates three flights a week direct to CDMX.
It is worth noting that as of today, this region of the country has 30% of hotels open with a maximum capacity of 30% of occupancy across the state.
