Lotus Evija, the electric 100% hypercar

There are car brands that make us dream, and Lotus is one of them.. When we first saw the sketches and development of the Evija, we were thrilled, but now that the renowned carmaker has released the customisation option for the electric 100% hypercar, the surprise is sky high.

The release of new images and a two-seat electric animation shows us three colours, Atomic Red, Solaris Yellow and Carbon Black. Production of this 2,000 PS vehicle, which promises a unique driving experience, is drawing ever closer.

The first point to carry out the specification of each car is given on a touchscreen configurator. Designed especially for Lotus, the ultra-powerful graphics processor displays highly realistic images as well as animations. Development uses software that is shared with the most advanced video games.This allows the buyer to personalise their car from every angle, inside and out.

Thanks to an advanced technique known as ray-tracing, Lotus Evija can be placed in different environments and scenarios all over the world.The final element is the creation of a 360-degree video clip, unique to each of the buyers. Lotus released a series of images of the Evija generated with this configurator. It shows the electric hypercar inside the Lotus Design studios in Hethel, UK, the global home of Lotus since 1966.The car is available in Atomic Red with Carbon Black accents in the optional package. We are also shown an animation showing the car in Solaris Yellow and Carbon Black.

The configurator is just one element of the Lotus Evija experience. After carrying out this customisation, customers receive a rather special gift: a handmade book with images of the Evija that was created by the user himself, and which will show key moments in the assembly process. The book is delivered with the key to Evija, as part of the celebration..
