Google y BID Lab, el laboratorio de Innovaci\u00f3n del\u00a0Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, anunciaron un esfuerzo conjunto para destinar\u00a012.5 millones de d\u00f3lares\u00a0en financiamiento<\/b> a las\u00a0instituciones de microfinanzas\u00a0en\u00a0Am\u00e9rica Latina\u00a0y el\u00a0Caribe.<\/span><\/p>\n

A los fondos, que se canalizar\u00e1n a trav\u00e9s de\u00a0Locfund Next, administrado por la firma boliviana\u00a0Bolivian Investment Management, contribuir\u00e1n Google con ocho millones y BID Lab con 4,5.<\/span><\/p>\n

Estas aportaciones llegar\u00e1n en moneda local<\/span><\/b> y en forma de capital, como pr\u00e9stamos y cooperaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGoogle lleva m\u00e1s de diez a\u00f1os siendo socio del BID en distintos proyectos. Esto nace de la relaci\u00f3n que ya ten\u00edamos con ellos<\/i>\u201d, explic\u00f3 en entrevista la consejera delegada de BID Lab, Irene Arias<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Locfund Next es un fondo de deuda que provee financiamiento en moneda local a instituciones microfinancieras en la regi\u00f3n, administrado por gerentes locales.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aunque est\u00e1 radicado en Bolivia, se ocupar\u00e1 de que los fondos lleguen a peque\u00f1as y medianas empresas todos los rincones del Latinoam\u00e9rica y el Caribe<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
